VARIATIONS
Variations is the Marblehead Art Association’s annual national exhibit which features the artwork of artists from across the country. Since 2021, artists from across the country, representing a diversity of styles and media have been invited to participate in this eight-week, juried exhibit of 2D and 3D work.
Featuring over 170 pieces of artwork, Variations 2024 is one of the Marblehead Arts Association’s biggest exhibitions yet. This captivating exhibition celebrates the richness and complexity of artistic expression, offering viewers a vibrant tapestry of styles, mediums, and perspectives.

WINTER — National Juried Small Works Exhibition 2020
About the Exhibition
The eighth annual National Juried Small Works Exhibition features 50 works by artists from across the Country. On exhibit and available for sale are traditional and alternative photography, photo-based works, paintings, mixed media and small sculptural works depicting quintessential winter life (northern) - chilly temperatures, frosty scenes, icy ponds, snowy streets and bare landscapes, warming up by a fire, winter activities and festivals, snow-capped mountains, flurries and blizzards, cold weather gear, etc. All works are framed 12x12 inches or smaller for perfectly sized Holiday gifts.

Post Pandemic — Washington Art Association
Post Pandemic invites community members to share work created during an extraordinary time while allowing a glimpse into the new ordinary taking shape beneath it.
Participants are invited to submit up to three original
5” x 7” (postcard size) works to Washington Art Association for selection toward inclusion in a group show that highlights each artist’s experience, impressions, and processes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seasons — J. Mane Gallery
Each season of the year, regardless of what region of the world you live in, comes with nature's own amazing color palette. For this competition artists were invited to share their artistic vision of any of the four seasons, winter, spring, summer or fall.

Ridgefield Art Walk 2020
The Ridgefield Guild of Artists presents Art Walk Ridgefield, when the streets of downtown Ridgefield turn into a strolling art gallery.
View my watercolor painting from the Flora collection titled “The Return of Joy” at Ascente Salon.
Art Walk Ridgefield kicks off on Friday, August 21, 5:00-8:00pm, with a meet and greet the artist outside on the assigned venues and continues on Saturday, August 22 from noon to 4:00pm. Live music and demonstrations are also planned outside storefronts in town.

Art in the Open—Washington Art Association
A Fundraiser for the Washington Art Association & Gallery — (All submissions are anonymous, signed on the back and the artist’s name is only revealed after purchase.)
ART IN THE OPEN is the next major WAA fundraiser for 2020. It will be an outdoor exhibition taking place on Saturday, August 8th, 2020 on the grounds of the Washington Depot Town Hall. (Rain date is Sunday, August 9 )


New Blooms—Washington Art Association
An exhibition exploring the inspiration of flowers to remind us of the abundance of simple beauty in our particular corner of Connecticut. The work invited will take the inspiration of flowers range from direct still life paintings to imaginative abstraction. The exhibition will be juried by Darby Cardonski.
